During their voyages to the distant islands, ships from the northern empires discovered new lands in the far East! Spread throughout many islands, the Japanese empire soon earned a reputation for its Goodwill and expansive trade networks. Now, the civilizations have started to build diplomatic ties and increase opportunities for trade. Imperial Settlers: Empires of the North Japanese Islands introduces two new clans to the game, as well as 14 new islands. The Japanese clans offer new strategies and play with a few new rules, such as exchange and docking.
Saikoro Clan gathered the best traders and sailed off to freezing lands of the North to make great deals with foreign civilizations! They are expert negotiators they can use their neighbors buildings and trade resources with them to gain favors.
Umineko Clan are hardworking people managing goods delivered from faraway lands. Their boxes are filled with exotic spices and fabrics. The Clan introduces new game mechanics of Storage, Docking and Transport.
Completely new mechanics added to the game:
Storage – With Umineko Clan you can now store your goods in ports and warehouses. Once your storage spaces are full, you will earn additional resources and victory points during Storage phase added by this expansion.
Docking and Transport – Japanese ports run by Umineko Clan allow you to get resources located on the islands without having to sail to them. The goods reach your ports in the Docking phase. You will be able to transport them to your warehouses using new Transport action.
Increased interaction between clans – With Saikoro Clan you can now exchange goods with other clans, use their locations, and give them favors in order to gain victory points.
